The latest construction updates for the 75 Express Construction Project.

NW 170 Street to South of Miramar Parkway (Segment A&B)

Upcoming Activities:

The contractor will continue building the new Express Lanes within the median. In addition, they will continue with the excavation of the pond on the northeast corner of I-75 and Florida’s Turnpike. Crews are scheduled to continue bridge construction at the Snake Creek Canal Bridge and the Express Lanes bridges over the Florida’s Turnpike. The contractor will continue clearing vegetation along Royal Landings, West Lake Estates and the Century Gardens communities. Once vegetation and unsuitable material is removed, the contractor will grade and prepare the area for sound barrier wall installation and drainage. After these activities are completed, crews will begin the concrete post installation process. Construction crews will begin the concrete post installation process along the Courtyards at Nautica, Villas at Nautica and Windsor at Miramar communities at the end of June or early July.

South of Miramar Parkway to South of Sheridan Street (Segment C)

Upcoming Activities:

The contractor will continue building the new Express Lanes within the median. They will continue with the excavation of the ponds at the Miramar Parkway and Pines Boulevard interchanges. The contractor is scheduled to close lanes along I-75 at Miramar Parkway to demolish part of the existing Miramar Parkway bridge. In order to perform this work safely, traffic will be detoured during the following dates and times:

 All lanes of I-75 northbound at Miramar Parkway will be closed from 11 p.m. Saturday, June 13 to 8 a.m. Sunday, June 14. Motorists will be detoured to take the exit ramp at Miramar Parkway East (Exit 7A), at the top of the ramp cross over Miramar Parkway, and re-enter I-75 northbound using the Miramar Parkway on-ramp.

All lanes of I-75 northbound at Miramar Parkway will be closed from 8 a.m. Sunday, June 14 to 5 a.m. Monday, June 15. Motorists will be detoured to take the exit ramp at Miramar Parkway East (Exit 7A), continue eastbound to SW 145 Avenue, then north on SW 145 Avenue to Pines Boulevard and westbound on Pines Boulevard to re-enter northbound I-75. Please follow the posted detour.

South of Sheridan Street to North of Griffin Road (Segment D)

Upcoming Activities:

Sound barrier wall construction activities will continue along Waterford and Ivanhoe Estates throughout the month of June. In addition, sound barrier wall construction is scheduled to begin along the Waverly Hundred and Hawkes Bluff communities at the end of June. Sound barrier panel installation will continue along Crossbow and Falcon’s Lea. The contractor is scheduled to close lanes along I-75 at Sheridan Street to set beams for the new Sheridan Street Interchange bridge. In order to perform this work safely, traffic will be detoured during the following dates and times:

 All lanes of I-75 northbound at Sheridan Street will be closed from 11 p.m. Monday, June 22 to 6 a.m. Tuesday, June 23. Motorists will be detoured to take the exit ramp at Sheridan Street East (Exit 11A), continue eastbound on Sheridan Street then turn left at Flamingo Road, then continue north to Griffin Road and continue westbound on Griffin Road to re-enter I-75 northbound using the Griffin Road on-ramp. Please follow the posted detour.

 All lanes of I-75 southbound at Sheridan Street will be closed from 11 p.m. Thursday, June 25 to 6 a.m. Friday, June 26. Motorists will be detoured to take the exit ramp at Sheridan Street West (Exit 11B), continue westbound on Sheridan Street then turn left at Dykes Road and continue to eastbound Pines Boulevard to re-enter I-75 southbound using the Pines Boulevard on-ramp. Please follow the posted detour.

North of Griffin Road to I-595 (Segment E)

Upcoming Activities:

Construction crews will be painting sound barrier walls along the benefited communities. The contractor will also continue building the future Express Lanes in the existing median. Other activities include excavating near Royal Palm Boulevard to create ponds for future drainage. Crews will also continue building the new bridge that will connect I-595 Express and 75 Express.
