Staying in Touch with Residents

We hope everyone is having a great summer! As we are sure you all know by now, four months ago Waverly Hundred Homeowners Association changed management companies. We are very excited to announce that we are now a part of a local HOA management company by the name of “Miami Management. Inc.”. Our community Association Manager’s name is Lee Cort, LCAM, who is a certified property manager for the state of Florida and has been with Miami Management for many years. She can be reached at 954-845-6110 or by e-mail at lcort@miamimanagement.com. This is a local management company, located on Sawgrass Corporate Parkway in Sunrise. The directors of Waverly Hundred HOA are confident that this is a positive move for the community.

Speaking of change, as stated in the last couple of meetings, our community documents expire on January 1st 2015 and for those of you that have attended the HOA monthly meetings, you also know that we are actively collecting information and suggestions for changes to the rules, regulations, laws and governing covenants currently being enforced by the Homeowners Association current by-laws. Your opinions and suggestions are not only extremely important right now, but imperative to make sure that our intention to influence the future of our great community is fulfilled! This is our chance to enforce all the necessary changes that we have discussed for years. Please forward your suggestions to info@waverlyhundred.org by September 20th.

FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) will be holding a meeting for residents of all the associations of Ivanhoe to let us know the developments of the construction of the express lanes of I-75 and the sound barrier walls that they will be erecting. The meeting is scheduled for next Wednesday, on August 27th at 7:00pm. You should have received a postcard by now from them explaining what is going on and about the impending meeting. The meeting will take place in our meeting room at the Ivanhoe Community Center at 6101 SW 148th Avenue. Their meeting will be from 7:00 PM to about 8:30pm and our meeting will be held immediately afterward. There is a link on the index page on our website, www.waverlyhundred.org with information about what FDOT is planning and in the process of doing. They will be answering questions so don’t hesitate to express your concerns.

We want to take this opportunity once again to make sure we have better communication using the online “Nextdoor.com” site. We are happy to announce, that so far this year we have 128 residents signed up on the website. Because of your active participation in this site, we were able to help several lost dogs find their way home; items have been sold and garage sales have been announced as well as an exchange of referrals for services needed by our residents. But more importantly, there has been better communication between the residents and valuable ideas and suggestions have been shared. If you are interested in signing up, go to the link on the home page of our website, www.waverlyhundred.org and simply click JOIN Nextdoor Waverly Hundred. Once you join, you can also invite your neighbors by clicking on INVITE NEIGHBORS and click onto Postcards and Nextdoor takes care of the rest.

We encourage all residents to come to the meetings, visit our website at www.waverlyhundred.org, and make sure we have your current email address. Let’s remember to keep our lawns mowed, our houses painted, our roofs and sidewalks clean, our boats and RV’s out of the front yard, and most of all, our families SAFE! Please write to info@waverlyhundred.org with any comments, or questions or anything you would like to share on the website as well as any suggestions for the covenants. See you Nextdoor!
