Alan had said that he will get paint swatches from Home Depot for the color of the walls but since he was not at the meeting no color has been decided as yet so it looks like the painting will begin sometime in November now.
Regarding the Royal Palm, Alan had called Dave to get a new one and remove the dead one with an estimate of $5000.00. Instead of putting it off any longer and not getting any other solid estimates, it was decided to vote in favor of having the landscaper go ahead for that price. Jonathan made the motion, Ed seconded the motion.
A bill was received for the replacement of two time clocks for the sprinkler system that must have been hit by lightening.
Dykes Rd. entrance got new annuals and impatiens were planted in the front entrance.
Alan had said someone was supposed to come to fix the lighting.

New Business
Jonathan stated in his preliminary review of the budget he is putting together, it looks like the assessment for
2008 will be greater than the normal $180. To replenish the wall fund painting will be around $20,000. The tree
will be $5000. Current estimate for the assessment will be between $210 - $230 per household. There is an
$11,000 carry over from last year. The following are higher this year than budgeted for: electricity, the attorney
fees, and irrigation. Lighting was budgeted for $9500 and actually cost $11,000. $18,000 was budgeted for
landscaping but this might not be adequate because of gas prices. Road patrol was $5400, now the cost has
already been raised to $5800. We have a reserve of $2800. Bills are up to date.
There usually is no meetings in November and December because of the holidays. Assessments are due by
February 28th will go out in the second week of November along with the proxies, the 2008 Budget, as well as
the newsletter and the comment sheets for the Sound Wall to the Fla. Dept. of Transportation. Copies will be
made at Kinkos and postage will cost about $300 to mail them all out.
Discussed that there may be a chance that we will be able to retain the 7:30 meeting time for our monthly
meetings. Jonathan said he is looking into it. So for now, we are sticking with the 7:30 time until further notice.
It was also discussed that the mailbox place where our box number is is not the most stablest of locations, they
are looking to sell their business at present. Earlier this year they mislaid a whole bag of our mail for months, it was
difficult to receive many of the assessments and other mail because of their incompetence.
It was mentioned that the FPL needs to trim the trees around the lines.
Meeting adjourned at 8:20pm by Jonathan Klein, John Ayala seconded the motion.
